Beautiful

How are you all doing? Today is a cooler weather day, you know the kind that feels like fall but isn't fall at all. There is nothing new around here which makes life perfect. I had a campus tour yesterday for my non-credit classes that start in two weeks. I think I know where I'm going, maybe. I definitely know where to park. I am excited for school to start. What an adventure for me!

September is going to be a busy month for me, so my posting on this space might be less than usual. I don't want to say definitely, but I feel that skipping a post here and there might be the way to allow for wiggle room in life.

Did you see that acorn?? (Autumn is coming!).

While my heart pines for fall, I am enjoying the late summer days by reading on the back patio with Frodo who tolerates this 'outsideness' for about 30 minutes. I remember when he was a pup and I could not convince him to come inside. At soon to be 14 years old, he enjoys outside limitedly and then wants to go inside to take another nap. I don't blame him at all.

I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

  1. I'm excited for your class!! Where will you be going and what are you taking? I'm with Frodo - a nap is always good. Your Fall sounds wonderful with a new grandbaby, a new class and just the wonder and enjoyment of FALL!!! If you need/want to post less frequently, we will all understand. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Knowing where to park and where to go is important, and I hope your class is wonderful. Maybe you need some back-to-school supplies, like new pencils and a pencil case!

  4. How precious is that deer just standing there. Your signs of fall are exciting. The thought of being able to be outside for more than a few minutes will be a dream come true for us Arizonans. Your painting is so sweet too. Frodo has the right idea about napping. Have fun at school and learn lots.

  6. Yes, we have had a hot week here, but fall is in the air. It's so cool that you are taking some classes. Are you taking art classes? I think you are very talented. I hope you enjoy the weekend and the coming fall!

  8. I can feel the tinge of cooler air in your post - enjoy!! It's going to be 100 here next week and I am NOT happy about that one little bit - so it was especially nice to sit on the porch with a book and an afghan over my legs this morning - we might not see temps in the 60's again til September.

  9. Enjoy your class! That's a nice photo of the deer; I hope it didn't devour any of your plants like the ones around here did. On top of the munching of the deer, a mole has moved in and is enjoying easy diggings in our newly planted yard. Sigh.

  10. Cute wee acorn! And exciting that your classes are starting! I keep having dreams where I'm about to take my exams, but then I realize there's one class I've forgotten to attend all semester! I have that dream at least twice a year, and it's usually a math class. I wonder if that means something??
