Knitting News
This week I've been working on this last hitchhiker shawl of the summer. I have been enjoying the ease of this project, so simple for me to pick up and knit a little bit and put down. I have not tested this with talking at the same time, I'm sure I would make mistakes under those test conditions, ha ha.
The sock yarn for this shawl was F R E E. Yup! my sister asked me if I would like the yarn that was given to her by someone who didn't want the yarn. Lucky for me I thought it would make a great shawl.
What are you working on this week?
Lucky you to be gifted yarn that is also very pretty and is making a lovely Hitchhiker! I can talk and knit (only on Hitchhikers) at the same time, so I bet you can, too!
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult to talk and knit (or chew gum and walk). That is a lovely skein of yarn and it is turning into a beautiful Hitchhiker! I'm still plugging away on the usual - socks and my Shakerag skirt (ever so slowly...).
ReplyDeleteOoo! I like that gifted yarn! And it is making a gorgeous hitchhiker! (and I am with Vera on knitting and walking... )
ReplyDeleteOooh! That gifted yarn is perfect for that HH shawl. It will be a great accent for many outfits.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's gorgeous yarn! I can only knit stockinette when I talk. And since my husband and I are usually talking when I knit, I don't even try to do lace patterns ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I've never made one of these and sure do need to give it a try.
ReplyDeletePretty yarn and what a treat. I'm knitting a blue jumper, I knit it years ago with the wrong yarn. The yarn shop recommended a cheap yarn, this was over 25 years ago... I don't think yarn shops would do this now. I spend time knitting on it each day.
