Hopefulness

Good morning!

This week has been busy with classes and routine doctor appointments. The arthritis doctor has a few tricks up her sleeve for some of my dry mouth issues (from my autoimmune disease - Sjorgren's Syndrome) that make me feel hopeful. What was the most important thing during that doctor visit is that I felt seen and heard. I am thankful for her and her team.

Speaking of hopefulness, look at my daffodils sprouting up! Some of the daffodils are just starting and some already have a head start. I love winter, but I'm looking forward to spring. The crocuses seem to be taking their time this year, as well as the snowdrops (unless those pesky deer have eaten them, grr).

Even though I am still knitting my baby blanket, I have gathered four skeins of potential socks to be and am dreaming of a wonderful sock frenzy cast on.

  1. I agree with you and Dee; a doctor who listens is wonderful (and a rarity). I hope your doctor's tricks work out. I'm looking forward to your sock knitting cast-ons!

  3. Just curious, has your doctor mentioned chewing gum with Xylitol in it to help your dry mouth? or any products called Xlear....like the nasal spray? My dentist actually mentioned these to me to help my dry mouth for my Sjorgren's Syndrome.

  6. Sure hope that works for you! Dry mouth isn't fun, that's for sure. Have you tried using a vaporizer at night? That sure has helped me.

  11. A doctor who listens is so helpful! Our daffodils are blooming all over now and the cherry tree blossoms are raining down pink "snow". I even saw a daffodil on our afternoon walk today. Signs of spring are always full of hope!

  14. I love it when you find a doctor that makes you feel good and heard. We have had a few doctors that were dismissive and made you feel stupid for asking questions.. bye bye to them. Now we all have wonderful doctors. Blessed. Our daffodils are sprouting as well.. braved through two snow storms, hope they make it till spring.
