Weekends

Good morning! How was your weekend?

On Saturday, my sister and I drove north to visit my dad and step mom for the afternoon. We had a lovely lunch and spent time catching up. The drive up and back was a little stressful. Crazy drivers and pouring rain, but we made it safely there and back.

On Sunday, we went to the conservatory with my sister and brother in law to see the orchid show. All the flowers and displays were beautiful. I was disappointed we were unable to go outside in the children's garden (one of my favorites) but maybe they are getting it ready for the spring, which as you know is right around the corner.

I've been busy knitting away over the weekend and reading my library book on my kindle (The Stone Circle by Elly Griffiths)before it was due. This weekend was over all lovely!

  8. Those orchids are stunning! and I peeked ahead and saw the adorable sweater for your great nephew. I'm still knitting the same sweater ... but I'm on sleeve #2 so the end is in sight!
