Knitting News

Good morning! My knitting news is very scant this week. I did not knit over the weekend I was so exhausted each day and even on traveling days I was too nervous to focus on my knitting or even read a book.

However, I am home and I am once more knitting in the evenings. The above photo is the last pair of socks for a Christmas present (first sock). I've mentioned this before, but I've scaled back my holiday gift knitting significantly so I wouldn't be 'stressed' out and I wouldn't initiate an arthritis flare. So far this is working out for me! I am in a lot of classes this first half of the fall session. In mid October my schedule will ease up a bit and then I can dive deeply into knitting.

What are you working on this week?

  1. That is a lovely sock and you've even matched your project bag to it!

  2. Sometimes we just have to slow down and listen to our bodies. Arthritis truly is a pain. It has slowed down my knitting too.

  3. What a beautiful shade of blue. What is the pattern you are knitting? My knitting has slowed a bit, but only because I have been stitching instead. It's all good and (luckily) it is all enjoyable.

  4. That is sock perfection, Karen! What a beautiful shade of blue indeed! (but isn't it great to be home??)

  5. Oh, that sock is beautiful! I love the color, and the pattern is so pretty.

  6. I'm sure you're glad to be home ... and your classes sound so interesting. I've spent most of my week on family stuff and keeping a few of my volunteer/church projects going. Had a few meetings last week which means notes & follow-ups this week. Not my favorite, but necessary to keep things moving along!

  7. Isn't it fun when a project matches the project bag and/or a book cover? You are a wise knitter to scale back the stressful deadline knitting. I'm working on a lace scarf and some wash cloths this week.
