Weekends

How was your weekend? Mine is still going strong since it is Labor Day today. Yesterday after Mass we walked to a local coffee shop and I ordered a matcha latte. It was okay, I was expecting more from the drink! I'm not a drink lover over all so maybe it was me and my expectations going in.

Maybe just maybe we are over the heat waves? I can dream! I worked on my sweater and my socks through out the weekend making progress on both of them.

I sat on my back patio reading both Saturday and Sunday knowing that by the end of this month it will be too chilly to do so. Usually the awning gets taken down early October. I am so looking forward to Autumn. In my heart that season is already here.

I've been extending my walks trying to add more time to my outings and I've started using my left arm in my exercising routine. So far I am feeling great, just a tad weak.

How was your weekend?

  1. I hope we're done with sweltering temperatures! Tonight it's supposed to be 50 degrees. I'll believe it when I see it, but maybe fall is actually arriving.

  2. The rain overnight was such a welcome treat! (as were these MUCH cooler temps!) I have some sleeve recalculations to work out today... sigh.

  3. I like matcha but not generally from local shops. I make mine at home so I can control the sweetness. And your post is the second time this morning that I have seen Interior Freedom. Hmmm. Might need to check it out. I am currently re-reading Walking on Water by Madeleine L’Engle. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  4. We've actually had some much needed rain, but the temperatures are back up, so there's lots more watering ahead. My book club just finished reading Tom Lake. Have you read that one?

  5. Your weekend sounds lovely, Karen. I'm so glad to read that you are now able to use your left arm in your exercise routine. Answered prayer. We are having a lovely autumn-like day here...as a matter of fact, it's to be like that all this week!

  6. That sounds like a good weekend to me! Good to hear your arm has healed so well. Gosh it is chilly here this morning (Tuesday). I had to put the heat on in the bathroom when I took a shower! LOL. I love it.

  8. What a nice weekend. I'm glad your arm is healing so well. We had a nice weekend. Monday was my birthday and it was a quiet day but I did talk to my family, had some Face Time with both kids, and generally enjoyed the day.
