Happy List

 

- neighborhood pumpkins - my oak trees showing off - new friends at 'school' - Tai Chi hour - lunch out with my husband - cold morning walks - an unexpected warm up - all the fall knitting (imagined and real) - wearing wool - browsing knitting patterns - sister outings - dark chocolate - blue skies - neighborhood dogs

- the kids coming to visit next weekend - the to-do lists that I am creating - afternoon reading (possible snooze) - apples! - soups! - hearing the breeze whisper through the trees - setting intentions - giving myself grace when I need it the most - solitude - grandchildren laughing - Holly being Holly -

Blue skies - phone calls from family and friends - the kindness of others - assuming everyone is doing their best - drinking water and staying hydrated - hot decaf green tea in a BIG mug - first sip of coffee - geese flying in V formation and honking all the way (delightful!!) - Focusing on gratitude - focusing on joy

  3. I loved your list of things that make you happy and you count as blessings. Blue skies, honking geese, sunshine during the day and gentle rain showers at night, my husband, our kids and grandkids... just to name a few!

  5. Phone calls from my kids! Visits from them might be a stretch but them of course too. Hugs from my grandkids. The warm weather we are having right now in New England! The fall leaves and last gasp of fall. The idea of my husband retiring in May and us having NO work at all anymore.

  7. Shared happy lists! knitting and reading by the fire (or on the porch). watching the boys play baseball. new jeans (oh my goodness, they fit!). crisp apples. an afternoon walk with leaves crunching underfoot. Happy Saturday!

    - Listening to music that lifts my spirits
    - Making new memories with loved ones
    - Learning something new every day

  9. So nice to have so many things on your happy list! I would include windows open on these unseasonably warm afternoons, kicking the fireplace on for a few minutes in the dark mornings, and getting an extra hour of sleep tonight!:)
