Knitting News

Good morning! How are you doing today?

My knitting news is quite thin, but I am knitting every day and I'm so very close to finishing these socks which are a holiday gift. I'm confident I will finish them tonite. I've been enjoying knitting socks lately and this pair is turning out so nicely. I love the simple seed stitch bands in between the stockinette rows. (four rows seed stitch, six rows stockinette). I love anything repetitive and easy to break up the monotony of endless stockinette stitching. Also it makes it super easy to match the socks exactly without measuring.

What are you working on this week?

  1. Those are sweet socks with the texture. I am on sock number two and have finished the body of my “pink” sweater. Today I will begin the sleeves. I am once again trying to slow down the knitting process and enjoy that time instead of rushing. But of course I have been thinking that maybe this is the year I will knit some simple, colorful socks for the grandsons.

  6. What pretty socks. I agree that some kind of easy repetitive pattern to break up stockinette makes the knitting go more quickly. I also working on a sock and a mitten these days.
