Knitting News
Good morning to you! How are you?
I'm excited about my hat that I've been knitting enjoying the sea of stockinette stitches. When I first started the hat I thought it would be too small, now I wonder if it will be too big. Gah. I will find out soon I guess. I wish the photo about showed how beautiful the colors are in real life, you'll have to trust me on this!
Below is my next knitting project, the habitation throw. I will definitely use the pink and gray, I'm still not sure about that purple, I might have a look-see in my stash and do another ponder about that color. I chose this pattern because I can use up some of my stash and I adore Helen Stewart's patterns.
What are you working on this week?
Also: I will probably not be posting this Friday and the following Monday because of my family visiting. I hope to be back next Wednesday (unless I change my mind).
Beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteI love my Musselburgh hat and I hope yours fits and you love it, too. That throw looks intriguing and a great long-term project and way to use up stash. Enjoy your visitors!
ReplyDeleteI just started the Habitation throw. Lots of bits and pieces to use up. You colors are very soothing.
ReplyDeleteYour Musselburgh hat is just so lovely! I could use a good dose of yarn winding... the mindless meditative act is just what my brain needs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty hat - that will be a joy to wear. The habitation throw is a lovely pattern - have fun. You've picked some lovely colors. Also, have fun with your visitors - soak up the family time!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors on the hat.
ReplyDeleteI like Helen Stewart's patterns also, not that I need another project though. I did cave and bought it!
ReplyDeleteMaybe when you double up that hat, it will fit just right. I hope so. The pink and gray for the Habitation Throw look lovely together. I knit that a few years ago from all kinds of random bit. It was a nice knit.
ReplyDeleteThat will be a lovely hat! I'm sure the size will be alright, hatsizes are very subjective. I love the colors for the throw.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally knitting! You inspired me to try and knit the Flax sweater for my grandson.
Have fun with your family!
I hope you will be the model for us to see the hat in completion. Enjoy your time with family this weekend!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I'm so glad to hear about your knitting projects – the hat sounds like it's been quite a journey, and I'm sure it will turn out beautifully no matter the size! The habitation throw is also a great choice, and it’s always exciting to use up stash yarn. I’m sure those colors will come together perfectly, especially with Helen Stewart's patterns.
ReplyDeleteI love your hat...can't wait to see it finished. I have it in my que. Hoping you have lots of family stories to share when you are back.
