Weekends
Hello! How was your weekend?
My weekend was wonderful! On Saturday, my sister and I went out shopping to craft stores and spent some quality time together. In the afternoon, my husband and I went out as well to do a bit of shopping for 'boring' stuff. He needed some new rain boots for when he works outside. But it was quality time together!
I was woefully behind on laundry and got all caught up this weekend. That is a satisfying feeling and it's so nice to have shirts I want to wear as opposed to having to wear. It's a mindset.
After months of not painting, I pulled out my supplies and dabbled a bit. I also worked on my throw that is evolving on its own. I've added more colors since the photo. Now I'm trying to use up all of my scraps if that is possible. I do like the challenge.
Sunday morning we attended Mass, afterwards I rested by knitting and reading. It was a great day!
What did you do this weekend?
Your throw is coming along nicely and your scrap colors look great. Holly looks like she's the Queen of the castle!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds lovely. Mine involved walking in the rain a Spidey and Friends Yahtzee with a four year old
ReplyDeleteI wanted to get bulbs in... but that did absolutely not happen! Your weekend sounds heavenly!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend to me. I got a lot done on one of my blankets and then became board with it so I picked up the knitting blanket. Time gets away form me when I have needles in my hands! LOL! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! I've been knitting, reading and working in the garden. And that was great too.
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds lovely - filled with good things (and perhaps a slower pace than the previous weekend with the grands??). Holly is beautiful and looks like she is ruling the roost! Your Habitation Throw is going to be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely weekend filled with so many wonderful things.
ReplyDeletea boring weekend is a good one these days! LOVE the way your throw is shaping up.
ReplyDeleteNothing like ordinary weekend days. I think the throw is going to be so pretty and as you knit you can remember the projects from some of those leftover yarns. I took a walk both days, read a bit, and knit a bit. Our weekend was also quiet.
ReplyDeleteI love the purple color. The cat is really cute.
