Weekends

Good morning! How are you? How was your weekend?

I had a great weekend but I didn't take any great photos. I've been wrapping presents a little bit each day instead of doing it all in one massive long day. This has made a difference in my joy as I wrap. Do you wrap all at once? Or do you do a little bit at a time?

Miss Holly has been finding the sun spots and getting her 'tan' going. She is a sweetie. I have no idea what she is watching outside that window. She does that every day. My guess is probably birds or chipmunks but chipmunks should be resting now that it's super cold outside.

Sadly I did not take any photos of my knitting, but I have been knitting! I continue to work on my husband's hat and I ripped out a pair of mitts I started (couldn't see the dark yarn with cabling) and started a much simpler pattern instead.

Sunday was church then the laundry. I am getting excited for the upcoming holidays. The kids are coming back with the grandchildren and that is going to be so much fun!

  1. We are STILL in waiting mode for the little baby to arrive! She needs to get here!!! I did a little knitting and a little stitching, but it was hard to focus. My brother left on Friday for a weekend visiting others, but he will be back today for two nights before he flies home. So, today will be cooking. Thanks for the reminder about wrapping - I need to at least wrap the gifts that will be shipped!

  2. The photos in this post tell a lovely story. I tend to wrap in one session so I can get all of the stuff out and then get it put away.

  3. I did a little bit of decorating and will try and make my last few presents this week. I'm sewing them so hopefully they won't take too long. I sewed gift bags over several years so wrapping is easy; I just put a present in a bag, tie the ribbon, add a tag, and I'm done!

  4. I am delighting in this rain today... we need it so desperately. This year, I will wrap in one great wrap-a-thon! (which will happen this week so the packages can get to the postman in a timely fashion!)

  5. I don't have a ton of wrapping to do so I do it all at once. Our weather has been up and down... It's warm and rainy today. I too have been knitting away the weekend. I started a sweater vest for myself. something I have never made before... clothing. Keep your fingers crossed! LOL! Hope you have a great week!

  8. What a nice weekend. I generally wrap everything all at once. We do fewer gifts each year so it doesn't feel overwhelming to me. I don't have any place to leave wrapping supplies out so it makes more sense to do it all at once.

  9. Holly has truly become the queen. We don't wrap gifts...we bag them. I have lovely bags that tie at the top and are peak proof. You are going to have a full house for Christmas. Lots of memories to be made.
