Weekends
Good morning! How are you? How was your weekend?
Mine was pretty nice. We had no plans and stayed home most of the weekend. I did lots of knitting but did not take any photos of that so you'll have to pretend there are photos here of my knitting progress. Spring is roaring in with lots of blossoms - I even decided to switch the bed clothes from winter to spring, so you know what that means, the temperatures will drop and I will be cold.
I continue to read The Alice Network and have a slight worry for the characters as I read through. It's a fantastic book but sometimes suspenseful! I am also reading White Nights and that is my evening book. I'm enjoying that book as well.
I finished my sweater but need to block it out and do a photo session of it. I'm glad that is finished! I have another baby blanket to start up and I also want to finish the baby sweater that I already started. Babies are sprouting up in this family!
Thank you for the well wishes for my severe dry eye. I have three prescription eye drops right now, one is temporary. I will eventually be fitted with medically necessary specialty contact lenses in the next few months - this will be a huge learning curve since they are difficult to put in and remove. Wish me luck! These lenses will protect the cornea from damage and hopefully keep it healthy.
Your snowdrops are just delightful and Holly looks so regal sitting there! I will continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers for your eyes, Karen. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contacts. Looking forward to seeing the next baby blanket.
ReplyDeleteSweet Holly - looking like the Queen she is!! More babies and another blanket - that's exciting. Sending healing wishes for your eyes. I sure hope the contacts work!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a new learning experience coming up with the specialty contacts. Praying. xx Your flower pictures are absolutely beautiful, Karen! Great photography.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been all over the place. Happy to hear you had a nice relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteoh Holly is such a poser :-) Glad you've found a long-term fix for the dry eyes (and I'm sure the learning curve will be quick for those lenses - you'll get daily practice!) ... my weekend was full of pollen (ugh) and baseball (yay!) ... and flew by. Hard to believe it will be April tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLook at those snowdrops. I hope learning about the new contact lenses goes well. The things medical science can do for us is amazing. Miss Holly looks very regal in her photo.
