Weekends
Hello, how are you doing?
Our temperatures took a tumble and we were back to being cold and running the furnace. Today though is going to be in the 70s. I've been avoiding being outside due to the high tree pollen count and really miss walking daily outside but those trees will be done hopefully by the end of May. My weekend was really nice. I mostly read books and spent time knitting on the FOREVER lace christening blanket. I am almost done with chart two (out of five??).
On Saturday, my sister and I visited the local yarn store and of course I bought some fingering weight yarn this time in blue. I don't knit with blue very often so I thought that would be a nice addition to my stash. I love to support local businesses and I'm grateful I am able to do that.
Sunday was Mass and doing our laundry. I had a very restful Sunday and I'm ready for the week!
How was your weekend?
Your weekend sounds lovely. I have not been to a yarn shop in ages!! My weekend was filled mostly with domestic chores. I don't do much during the week since I'm busy with helping with Iris, so all my chores get shoved to the weekend. This time they got done!!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great weekend and you've only got three more charts to go! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat christening blanket is so beautiful, Karen. Good for you with two out of five sections being completed!
ReplyDeleteI spent my weekend in the company of allergy medicine. :)
Everything here is coated in yellow from the Palo Verde tree blossoms dropping to the ground. The little christening blanket is moving along quite well. I imagine each chart will have it increasing in size. Which means it will seem to mk e slower and slower. Ha e a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so nice. I don't know where my weekend went.. and the pollen is making my eyes so itchy.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be out when the pollen counts are high but my dog needs to go for walks. Lots of walks. lol
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your blanket complete. Oak is really bad here right now. Hope you have a great week!
